In today’s Wedding Vendors We Love highlight, we’re chatting with Ariel Cameron Photography. Ariel was actually my first bride. After her wedding, the industry had captured her heart! She knew she wanted to serve couples and fill her life with the energy and love weddings bring. We’re so excited to introduce her below and share some of her stunning work!

What do you love most about serving couples?
I always say that there is something that is SO incredibly special about having all of your favorite people together in one place for a day. The honor of getting to capture something so important for my clients is something I will never take for granted. Being able to capture the way your mom wipes away her tears during the father/daughter dance, the way the groomsmen joke with the groom to keep his nerves calm, the details planned so perfectly to showcase the bride’s personality, it matters and deserves to be documented with excitement, care, and beauty.
Why is having a wedding planner and designer so important for couples?
I could write a novel on this one question, but two big reasons first come to my mind, one from the planning aspect and one from the design aspect. Wedding days are large scale, event productions and they need someone fully devoted to being in your corner that has the experience and determination to make your day perfect. The type of problem solving that has to take place on weddings days isn’t something you want anyone but a professional handling. Plus, it’s a game-changer the whole time leading up to the wedding, too! Emailing vendors, timelines, contracts, payments, details, rentals, installations, vendor coordination – there’s so much that goes into a day when you list everything out. So, I know I’ve said it already multiple times. But, it just makes your day run so much smoother to have a professional handling everything.
Now from the design aspect, you guessed it. You want a professional! Even when someone has impeccable taste, hiring a design professional is so important. They know how to position certain elements to photograph better, they design your guest experience to fit how you want your day to feel. Wedding design can be so much more than picking out certain bridesmaid dresses or tablecloths. It’s creating a beautiful, cohesive experience for you and your partner, your families, and your guests.
Favorite way to spend the day with your family:
We’re an Auburn sports family, so we love attending sporting events year-round.
How do you spend your free time?
If it’s football season, then we’ll be in Jordan-Hare Stadium! If it’s not a wedding or football weekend, then you’ll probably find us on the go. We love traveling and exploring new places or making trips to visit friends and family that live in other cities!
Favorite wedding moment of all time:
There’s no way I can pick just one. But, a general favorite moment on a wedding day is right after a couple gets married and recesses back down the aisle. They are standing there together for a moment with the most joy, excitement, and relief. It’s always the cutest moment. People always talk about a groom’s reaction when a bride enters (which is great!). But, I also love a just-married moment. Catching the bride and groom looking at their new wedding bands officially on their fingers makes me smile every time.
Best piece of advice to couples planning their wedding:
Invest in a good planner! I actually had Stacie plan my own wedding, so I am definitely bias, but I can’t say enough about how hard she works for her clients!
