Dreaming up wedding designs that are full of personality and extravagance is what were known for. But, there’s just something about a sweet and simple classic wedding that sets our hearts aflutter. For some couples, it’s not the pretty little details they’re planning for. It’s the beautiful marriage that’s ahead. Kayla and Michael’s wedding was a true testament to that! From the tender moments shared with the bride’s parents while getting ready to the happy tear-filled first look, you can tell this couple was oh so elated to be wed. And with the focus on that, it’s no surprise that a sweet and simple classic wedding was what they were after.
Kayla and Michael wed at Auburn Oaks Farm on a beautiful late-summer day. The morning began with all your typical bridal preparations. But, Kayla slipped into her dress with just her mom by her side, which made for such a touching moment. After a heartfelt reveal with her dad and another one with her bridesmaids, it was time for our favorite moment of the day. Kayla and Michael’s first look was one for the books. This couple was already filled with such joy. And when Michael saw his bride for the first time, the sweetness was next level.
Another the thing we loved about this wedding was that they opted to do a pre and post-ceremony cocktail hour. This allowed guests more time to mingle and enjoy sipping signature cocktails and noshing on hors d’oeuvres. And it also made for more intentional time spent together for Kayla and Michael.
Their ceremony took place on the lawn with Auburn Oaks Farm’s pond as their backdrop. A wooden cross adorned in pink and ivory florals was the centerpiece for their altar, which was fitting as their vows were all about the sanctity of marriage. They shared communion as a couple and their friends and family prayed over them. Such a gift to this sweet duo as they embarked on this new journey into marriage!
The reception took place inside Auburn Oaks Farm’s barn. A combination of round and estate tables were used throughout the space to add dimension with a cozy lounge area at the center by the fireplace. Crystal and gold plates with gold flatware, candlesticks and vases added an elegant flair. And blush and ivory florals added a sweet and simple touch. From start to finish, everything flowed together seamlessly for this couple. Enjoy some of our favorite memories from Kayla and Michael’s Sweet and Simple Classic Wedding below!
